Fandangoe SKIP *On Tour* in London and New York

'The Fandangoe Skip was a hugely personal project for me. When something means so much, it's important that the people you work with are invested in a similar way. I felt that from the team at After Nyne; and the end result was extensive international coverage that conveyed my story and its underlying messages in a thoughtful and sensitive way.'

Annie Nicholson (The Fandangoe Kid)

Fandangoe SKIP *On Tour* in London and New York

The Brief:

Develop a global campaign to publicise the collaboration between London based print designer ‘Fandangoe Kid’ (Annie Nicholson), Caukin Studio and SKIP Gallery as it tours between London and New York. This installation featured a candy-coloured, ice-cream-kiosk-in-a-skip, and included daily programming around the themes of mental health.

Our Approach:

To utilise the Fandangoe Skip as an opportunity to explore universal human experiences, highlight the urgency of activism, and disrupt the conversation around mental health, grief, loss, trauma, and gender constructs. The campaign was intended to connect with audiences on many levels in both the UK & USA (offering ice cream as an ageless platform!) and received press attention on both sides of commissionedthe pond; including ArchDaily and Art Week, as well as a full documentary by the BBC World Service.

Collaborators:

Canary Wharf, Brookfield Properties, The Loss Project, Caukin Studio, SKIP Gallery
